Description
This course offers comprehensive training on health management in equine establishments, integrating fundamentals of epidemiology, prevention and control of infectious and parasitic diseases. Key concepts of preventive medicine, risk factors and biosafety principles are addressed, as well as tools for the design and implementation of effective health programs. Viral diseases of clinical and productive importance are analyzed, emphasizing surveillance, vaccination and control strategies. In addition, the main parasites that affect horses are studied and criteria are developed for the rational application of antiparasitics, pasture management and resistance evaluation.
